• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the field of research, social sciences, development or similar
• Experience of working in or with NGOs
• Experience of research or evaluation processes
• Ability to understand new ideas and concepts quickly and apply them
• Excellent ability to understand and relate to people from a variety of backgrounds
• Skill at building trust and openness with others
• Able to train others confidently on a variety of subjects
• Good level of spoken and written English
• High level of initiative

Desirable

• Masters degree in a relevant field
• Experience of supervising or leading others
• Experience of training others

• Supervise project staff
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
• Support the design and preparation of research/ evaluation tools
• Oversee and lead focus groups with the community or other target groups
• Lead survey and other project teams in specific research tasks
• Arrange and conduct interviews with key informants
• Support and help deliver training and coaching
• Support the analysis, presentation and reporting of evaluation and research
• Oversee good organisation and storage of research work records
