| **** AWARD Award Type:Grant Annual # of awards:16 to 25 (including IFUW fellowships) Duration:2 months Purpose:The International Federation of University Women offers a limited number of international fellowships and grants to women graduates for advanced research, study and training.Grants are for a minimum of 2 months of work. They are given to help women graduates to obtain specialized training and to carry out independent research.
| **** LOCATION Country:Any Country Fields of Study:All Fields of Study Emphasis On:Students in any branch of learning may apply; however, priority is given to proposals related to IFUW priorities. These include the issues outlined in our Programme of Action, as well as to the improvement of the status of women and girls or women and to promotion of women in scientific and technological careers.The three key areas for IFUW action are education, the information society, and human security and peace. **** FINANCIAL DATA INFORMATION Average Amount per Award:3,000 to 6,000 Swiss francs Award Includes:Living Expenses, Research Expenses **** APPLICATION INFORMATION Procedure:Members of the IFUW national federations and associations must obtain the application package from and apply through their respective national headquarters.The next IFUW competition will offer awards for the 2008/2009 academic year.
